Following the success of the collaboration with James Hersey on “What Can I Believe?”, reaching more than 340,000 streams on Spotify in just 3 months, Pat Burgener reveals "Ozone", the second single of his awaited collaboration EP featuring the Australian star Tay Oskee. The collaboration brings together Tay’s soulful vocals and songwriting skills, Pat’s distinctive musical style and Oddbox’s creative production.
Tay Oskee is known for his song “Floating” which has been a massive hit in the indie-pop and folk scene, accumulating over 27 million streams on Spotify. His musical style is shaped by his love for nature, weaving soulful melodies and an organic, folk-inspired sound that adds a distinctive flavour to "Ozone". The upcoming track showcases his ability to blend seamlessly with Pat Burgener's musical vision.
Pat, reflecting on the upcoming release, shares his excitement about the collaboration: “One day, before a show in Zurich where Tay was opening for Ziggy Alberts, we started jamming together in the tour bus. It was immediately clear that we had the potential to create an amazing song together”. After agreeing to meet for a studio session in London with Oddbox, “Ozone” was born on Pat’s birthday (NB the 1st of June 2023).
“Ozone” is a song that gently encourages listeners to embrace the present. Its essence lies in the belief that life's true richness is found in the authentic experience of the here and now, urging all to find contentment in life’s simplicity.
Produced by Oddbox, also known as Max Burgener, the single promises to be a breath of fresh air in the indie pop landscape. Max, who is also Pat’s brother, is recognised for his unique approach to production, collaborating with emerging artists to craft fresh and compelling musical narratives.
The collaboration EP is set for release in fall 2024. It will allow Pat to forge lasting connections with iconic artists from different backgrounds and countries, who are all among his favourite singer-songwriters. It will be sure to take listeners on an unparalleled and delightful musical journey.
